One of the great things about drawing is the ability to create scenes that you would never see in real life. Many of my drawings are rooted in the fantastical or have an air of surrealism about them. Often, they look as if they have been intended as illustrations for a story or poem. Whilst I produce a lot of line art at the moment, my style was initially inspired by aboriginal artwork and has developed from there.
Another source of inspiration to me is the mountainous scenery of North Wales which is often the subject of my photography. Even trading in the paint brush for a camera, the results frequently have a dream-like quality to them.
